As I gaze outside the window with a cuppa tea in my hands, I think about how far I have come. I'm no longer that timid, scared, lonely "middle aged" lady that I once was, in fact, I'm far from it and within this next chapter of my life I'm going to share with you all my story of my past, present and what I desire for the next chapter in my life.

My passion for living a wellness lifestyle began a long, long time ago when I was feeling so exhausted, overweight, in a lot of pain and lonely. My marriage was on the rocks and my chronic illness, Stage 4 Endometriosis, was getting worse, to the point where I needed "another" operation. I was tired of it all and needed to make some major changes, but how could I do that when I didn't have the freedom to do so.

Time for a Drastic Change

I needed to make a drastic change, I needed a divorce. My marriage was sucking every ounce of my energy and confidence. This is a chapter of my life I will never discuss publicly so let's move on. But what I can tell you is that the Rachel I once was before I got marriage, no longer existed by the time our divorce came along. I no longer felt I had a voice and my confidence was non-existent.

Forward a year ahead after my divorce and I heard the words from my mum saying, "We have our old Rachel back"! What did she mean by that? Well, I was becoming more like younger self when I was more confident, laughing, joking and sharing my voice. I was being the old fun, loving, bubbly, lively, chatty me! And it was all thanks to having the right kind of people around me, supporting and encouraging me.

Radiate Light & Positivity

Over the next coming months, I'm going to share about how important it is to have friends who radiate light and positivity. The most important thing we can do to protect our mental health is to step way from any negativity. Your life choices are all dependent on the people you surround yourself with so make sure you surround yourself with the best, those that are going to build you up instead of tearing you down.

The kind of people I know now, bring me so much joy, happiness and hope. I have a really good friend, you may have heard of him, a great American actor called Chad Michael Collins. I'm going to share some of the stuff that he spoke about during a Q&As Live Facebook stream that we did within our Fitness, Confidence & Wellness Essentials group.

You can watch it here!

He's a really cool, hard working, friendly, caring guy and I think some of the things he spoke about will really help motivate and inspire you, so keep a look out for my future blog posts.

Feel free to join our group and invite your friends. I would love to see you in there! They are a cool bunch!

Stay Safe and Stay Positive,

Rachel x
