For many years I had a huge fear of failure which affected my life on a daily basis. I would struggle to make conversation just in case I said something wrong. I would be fearful of doing new tasks at work and home, just in case I made a mistake. My life revolved around "What ifs" - wondering whether I was good enough to do anything that came my way or say anything that was worthwhile! As I look back now I realise how much time I wasted just on my thinking alone. It was only until I came across a book called "The Secret" that my eyes were opened into how my mindset had controlled my life. I had allowed my negative thinking to shape who I was, which in my eyes wasn't who I wanted to be.
Have you ever felt the same way? Thankfully, I found a way to completely transform how I think and act. It wasn't an overnight thing but it definitely was the beginning of a new way of thinking and living. All it took was these simple changes within my life.
Begin To Change Your Thoughts
The first thing I began was to take on board what I had learnt from reading The Secret which is a very inspiring book that will lead you into a new way of thinking. These words were what began my journey to changing my thoughts patterns.
Your current reality or your current life is the result of the thoughts you have been thinking. All of that will totally change as you begin to change your thoughts and feelings.
I began to change my thoughts by implementing daily affirmations that focused on confidence, positivity and overcoming fears. Old doors closed and new doors opened as I began to move in a new way of thinking. New friendships began to develop with people who have a positive and confident attitude. They inspired me daily by the way they live. They ooze success but also are humble and charitable in their endeavours, The more I surrounded myself with these kind of people, the more I wanted to become a better version of myself.
Overcome the Fear Of Failure
The fear of failure had plagued my life for so many years that it did take some time to overcome it. It definitely wasn't an overnight thing. It took time and a certain amount of action from myself to see myself progress from a timid, fearful, anxious individual to a happy, fearless, confident women. The first steps I took was to change my circumstances. I changed my job which I knew would stretch me, I surrounded myself with positive, self-driven, talented people and began doing courses that would move me into the direction I wanted to go. Stepping out of my comfort zone was key to overcoming my fears. The more I stepped out the more braver I became.
The Wellness Approach
The most significant change that I made was to actively become aware of and make choices to a healthier life. I began to incorporate a fitness regime and nutritional plan that transformed my body and ultimately boosted my confidence. Looking after my mind, body and spirit ultimately was a game changer for me. I finally was looking after every aspect of my life but what really helped with my anxious, fearful emotions was when I began using pure authentic essential oils that actually worked. My emotions were a big obstacle to me, ever though I was stepping out in new areas, my body still shock at time, so it was a relief to be introduced to a natural alternative that actually worked really well with boosting my self-esteem, confidence and diminishing those embarrassing shakes.
